Digital Editor | Cowboys & Indians Magazine

As the Digital Editor, I conduct a plethora of functions, including producing articles for the web, maintaining the website's SEO, running the magazine's social media accounts, brainstorming and pitching articles to writers, creating the weekly newsletter, planning media campaigns, writing web articles, and producing sponsored content.

Summer 2020

Editorial Intern | Texas Music Magazine

As an editorial intern, I created engaging Q&A pieces, profiles and reviews for topics that pertain to Texas's extensive music scene. I conducted interviews, research, and fact-checking for each piece before publication.

June 2021 - Dec. 2021

Copywriter and Website Developer |  WRARE

As a copywriter and website developer for the Fort Worth based home goods store, WRARE, I wrote copy for the website that matched the ambience of the store. I also conducted backend website maintenance and marketing endeavors.

Oct. 2019 - May 2022

Writer and Head of Copy | Texas Orator

As a writer for Texas Orator, I researched and wrote engaging opinion articles regarding local, national and international politics, culture and philosophy. As the Head of Copy, I oversaw the copyediting department and the hiring of new copywriters. I copyedited articles prior to publication and ensured that all copyeditors adhered to AP Style.

March 2019 - June 2020

Editorial Intern | Lucky Jefferson

As an editorial intern, I read and critiqued incoming submissions to the literary journal, wrote poetry reviews, edited and copyedited poetry submissions and headed independent projects. Through the internship, I was able to create a spoken-word poetry initiative, which I continue to build upon for the literary journal as a freelancer.
