I had the opportunity to assist Austin Monthly with its music beat by interviewing some incredible music artists.

Coverage of Houston's Management Districts

The Southwest District of Houston is a cultural hub of color and life, and it is the District Management's job to appreciate, understand, and maintain the safety and well-being of this beautiful section of one of the largest cities in the world.

I've loved showcasing the work of this special district through interviews with community organizers and profiles of the nonprofits that serve the community. Check out a few of these pieces here:

- "Star" charter school plans to expand in Southwest District

- Vietnamese association fostering new generation of leaders

- Nonprofit founder shapes the CHAT about immigrants

- Nonprofit group puts books in kids' hands & homes

- Buckner center in East Aldine lifts families to brighter futures
